THE DRIBBLE TRAP
Selling Under 10,000 Value
Delivering 1,000 value grants a measly +1 reputation. Five separate deliveries of 2,000 value yield only +10 total standing and burn through valuable game weeks as you travel back and forth.
Logistics Mastery · Interplanetary Trading Meta
Quasimorph 1.0 completely overhauled station commerce. Shuttles now accept any surplus loot, but casual piecemeal trading wastes hundreds of operative hours. By understanding the 10,000 bulk threshold multiplier, station restocking timers, and the Value-Per-Slot (VPS) hierarchy, you can fast-track faction reputation to +25 and seize prototype tech across the Solar System.
1.0 Economy Rework
In Early Access, shuttles rejected any cargo not listed on the station's buy order. Version 1.0 introduced universal trade mechanics:
| Shuttle Mode | Operational Purpose | Payout / Return | Recommended Usage |
|---|---|---|---|
| Barter (Item Exchange) | Swapping unwanted loot directly for gear in the shuttle manifest | Weapons, ammunition, medical boxes, and class chips | Equipping under-geared clone squads early game |
| Reputation Sales | Liquidating cargo purely for corporate standing without taking items | Maximum reputation gains (+5 to +15 per bulk shipment) | Fast-tracking +25 standing to unlock Page 2 manifests |
| Cargo Transportation | Moving heavy industrial freight across interplanetary stations | Massive lump-sum corporate favor and exclusive blueprint drops | Endgame interplanetary fleet progression |
The Mathematical Secret
The game's reputation formula does not scale linearly. Here is why selling in small increments slows progression down to a crawl:
THE DRIBBLE TRAP
Delivering 1,000 value grants a measly +1 reputation. Five separate deliveries of 2,000 value yield only +10 total standing and burn through valuable game weeks as you travel back and forth.
THE BULK MULTIPLIER
When the total transaction value crosses the 10,000 barter mark, the system activates a bulk multiplier, granting +12 to +15 standing immediately. Two bulk shipments catapult you directly into Friendly (+25).
Inventory Decision Tree
A mercenary's backpack is strictly limited by tile space and weight. Prioritize your extraction cargo based on barter density:
| Priority Tier | Item Type | Slot Footprint | Barter Value Range | Strategic Action |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Tier S (Must Extract) | Class Data Chips, Comm Processors, Welding Machines, Naloxone | 1 - 2 slots | 6,000 – 12,000 | Never drop. Deposit directly into Elevator Staging Cache. |
| Tier A (High Value) | Military Cigarettes (stacked), Pure Bottled Water, Servo Motors | 1 slot | 1,500 – 3,500 | Keep in primary backpack; highly requested across all factions. |
| Tier B (Situational) | Intact assault rifles, full medical kits, energy batteries | 3 - 4 slots | 2,000 – 4,000 | Extract only if inventory space remains unreserved. |
| Tier F (Trash / Drop) | 0-durability broken shotguns, dirty rags, unrefined scrap metal | 2 - 4 slots | 50 – 200 | Drop immediately. High encumbrance and negligible barter worth. |
Strategic Navigation
Stations do not possess unlimited supplies. Once liquidated or completed, a station enters an 11 to 21-day economic cooldown during which its buy orders freeze and trade shuttles depart.
Raid mining colonies and Civil Resistance installations on Mars and Phobos. Stockpile high-density cigarettes, pure water, and basic electronic scraps without worrying about demonic corruption.
Travel to Earth orbit or Luna. Liquidate Mars scrap in bulk (10k+ single shipment) to reach Friendly standing with industrial syndicates, exchanging for composite ballistic chest armor.
Deliver specialized electronics to AnCom or RealWare on Venus. Purchase prototype energy weapons and the Buffalo backpack before cycling back as Mars stations conclude their 21-day cooldown.

Frequently Asked Questions
When trading with a faction's shuttle, selling items piecemeal (e.g., 500-2,000 value per drop) awards minimal linear reputation. However, submitting a bulk shipment exceeding 10,000 total barter value triggers a hidden 2x reputation multiplier, allowing you to jump from Neutral to Friendly (+25) in just two bulk deliveries.
Page 2 of any corporate trade shuttle contains exclusive prototype weapons, cyberware, and high-tier containers (like the Buffalo backpack). It unlocks automatically once your standing with that corporation reaches Friendly (+25 reputation) and the station's Tech Tier is 3 or higher.
Yes. Version 1.0 removed the restriction where shuttles only accepted listed bounty goods. You can now liquidate any excess weapon, armor piece, or scrap metal. However, items not explicitly requested by the station suffer a 30% discount on barter value.
The highest VPS items are Class Data Chips (10,000+ value in 1 slot), Communication Processors (6,500 value in 1 slot), Welding Machines (8,000 value in 2 slots), and stacked Military Cigarettes (2,500 value per stack). Avoid extracting low-durability broken weapons or raw metal scrap, which yield less than 200 value per slot.
